I5 2500k keep?

Am looking to buy Silverstone SST-SG10B Or a Xigmatek Aquila Micro-ATX,( wanting to get away from a full tower),....so will be needing a new board...

Should I keep the i5 2500k and get a z77 board, or wait till winter for a better CPU,

Will be maining for games, as it can use my r9 290 or 280x in crossfire from my mining rigs.

keep your current system. no point buying into a dead platform =x

A 2500K is still a good CPU and they all seemed to do 4.5GHz at least when overclocked.

I think you should keep it and try and source a 2nd hand or Bgrade MATX board.

That chip will be fine for another 2 years at least

My 2500k has been at 4.5ghz since I got it, 2nd hand, over 12 months ago. Solid little chip with plenty of life in it
