Hi, got my i5 and P8P67 Pro yesterday and set on getting a few more mhz from it but ive hit abit of a brick wall, the system posts but Windows fails to load. I wondered if you could suggest anything, details below:

System
Mobo: Asus P8P67 Pro running 1003
CPU: i5 2500k batch L040B544
Ram: 4Gb Crucial DDR3 1333mhz

OC Settings
Bus: 100mhz
Multi: x45
CPU Voltage: 1.38V
CPU PLL: 1.8125V
VCCIO: 1.2V
VCCSA: 1.35V
Memory: 1.5V
PCH Voltage: Auto
Load-Line Calibration: High
VRM Frequency: Auto
Phase Control: Extreme
Duty Cycle: T.Probe
Enhanced SpeedStep Technology: Enable
Turbo Boost enabled: Enable
CPU Spread Spectrum: Disable

I was originally looking to hit 4.9Ghz but im unable to hit anything over 4.3Ghz at present, even 4.5Ghz would be nice!

PSU: Tagan 800w

The overclock is applied via Turbo boost though so I cannot disable that without disabling the whole overclock!

Just updated and enabled PLL overvolt but the same happens :( I can boot on 4.4Ghz @ 1.35v without an issue, soon as I change to 4.5Ghz, it constantly get stuck on the Windows loading screen :(

Right for a start - leave speedstep and turbo enabled, its far easier to get a good clock of these cpu's using the turbo function imo. And speedstep will save £s on your electric bill.

Turn your Duty Cycle from T.Probe to Extreme, update the Bios to 1053 and put you're LLC on low if you can.

You may very well just be unlucky and have a thirsty chip, or more likely, the asus board/bios sucks when it comes to memory support/stability. Which is exactly why my asus is sat next to me back in its box.

The board is fine, has been proven to take chips much further than I have taken mine, im gunna try this newer beta bios and hope for the best tomorrow!

Im now using Bios 1253 and currently running prime 95 on 4.8Ghz @ 1.38v :) Hitting 70c max @ 22c room temp, so im happy with that. I may move up to 4.9Ghz but don't really wanna put over 1.4v though my chip.
