i5 2500k Overclock

I'm new to this so take it easy

I'm looking at overclocking my 2500k at the moment as I've been running it on stock since I bought it. I had a look at my motherboards "OC Genie" function and went into my BIOS to enable it. I didn't notice any difference at first so figured I had done something wrong it it just didn't work.

Then I looked and found this:

Windows is still only showing it as @ 3.30GHz 3.29GHz? But Core Temp shows it as 4190.87MHz screenshot below:

Which should I believe?

Windows will always show 3.3ghz, but CoreTems shows you are running at 4.19

Ahh, whats the reason behind that? So that is in actual fact overclocked?

Multipier is at 42 so I would guess 4.2GHz is correct.
