This is my current build, I want to overclock it but don't know where to start,

Also I have few questions to ask,

1. Is it recommended to update BIOS before overclock?

2. What is the best app to check the cores temps and stress test?

3. What's the maximum voltage/temps that I shouldn't go over?
 
1. Update once windows installed to F18. Use qflash only. update it via usb.

I have very similar build to you. Same board chip and fan. Case is Zalman z9 plus, using 1 scythe typhoon (intake) at front @ 1850 rpm, 1 scythe typhoon (intake) at side @600rpm (connected to sysfan_1 and for some reason wont go full speed), 1 scythe typhoon (exhaust) at top @1450rpm and 1 scythe typhoon (exhaust) at rear @ 1850rpm. PSU has fan pointing up ie exhaust. I used Arctic silver mx-2, line method following makers instructions.

cpu clock 44. Turbo Power Limit 250. Core Power Limit 250. Cpu cll 1.65. Cpu Vcore 1.25. I used Prime95 (Blend Test - Was told that is best for my chip). Max Temps: Core 1) 62 2)74 3)71 4)67. The highest temps came from i think the 3rd test - they sat around 59-66 normally. They will improve as arctic silver breaks in. I should add that i havent received my graphics card yet (the one thing i didnt buy from oc and the one thing delayed from 2 days to 12 days!). Gfx card will probs add to temp, but hopefully the arctic silver breaking in will even it out.
