hi I posted on here the other week about overclocking my 3570k. Had it a few years and decided to get the most out if it now but I'm all new to overclocking so took some peoples advise on here. Been busy but today got around to a small overclock just to say my heatsink is this

Now i have tried 4.0 running on 1.100 volts and core temp is telling me that I'm on 40c on idle what should I do next test the max temp or try raising the to say maybe 4.2? if so how far should i adjust the voltage and what would be the best program to stress test the cpu.

When i tried it the other week I went straight to 4.4 on 1.270 voltage and when I run prime 95 the temperature shot up to 90c and then the pc crashed. is this normal I just worry I'm going to damage the cpu so need some reassurance as well thanks.

could try with medium loadline calibration

and maybe +0.40v cpu voltage offset

set cpu/pci clock to 100 and try maybe 44x for a 4.4ghz oc

then stress cpu and see what load cpu voltage is in cpu-z while stressing, keep an eye on temps also, stop the test if they hit 90c
