i5 3570K Overclocking

Going to dig up a very old topic

Wondering how many people are still running this CPU (or the 2500k, same socket) and what they've managed to push it too? I've been tinkering for the last few days and I've managed to get:

What I actually run
@ 4.3Ghz
1.295 Vcore

Max stable (ish)
@4.6 Ghz
1.325 Vcore (bumping up vcore gave me boot issues)

Running at 4.3 gives me a max temp in prime of 56 degrees (booyah!) and 72 degrees at 4.6

All this under an H100 with variable fan control and a D3H Gigabyte board (z77)

Whats the max any of the rest of you still get with this (or similar) chip

. Trying to make this puppy last as long as I can.

Not quite the same chip; have a 3570(non-K) instead. But same board and cooler (except my H100 fans are attached to the H100 at low setting, only case fans to the board).

4.0Ghz (Because that's the limit of the non-K chip unfortunately; done by pushing the Turbo multiplier to x40)
@0.7v boot and low usage vCore (Think this is nearly at the absolute limit before it won't boot)
@1.03v vCore all cores running at 4.0Ghz.
Max Temp 55C with Prime at 4.0Ghz and the H100 using its default fans (blegh) at low setting (so, lots of room for improvement should I desire to update the fans and up the setting; which I might do because it's now louder than my main rig and I don't like that for a "low power" system...

).

Can play Mass Effect Andromeda on this machine without any major issues at 1080P all settings on. So should last you for a fair few years yet before it'll need changing.

Sounds impressive to manage only 1.03V at 4.0Ghz all core turbo.

Got the same as you in the house and got pretty much the same results. Only running it at 4.3Ghz with 1.3v on a Noctua D14, it's maninly only used for browsing/office with a tiny bit of gaming. I might push it a bit higher and do some tests but it's still on Win7 which doesn't handle BSOD's as well as Win10.
