i5 3570k Temps

Just fitted my new comp just wondering if the follow temps are normal for idle or not ?

run fritz chess benchmark or intel burn test

idle doesnt mean anything mate

Yep, look grand for idle. More importantly, what are they like at load. Give it a quick blast with prime95 to load all cores to 100% to see how it go's. What cpu cooler btw?

This is my first ever Intel just wondering can i put the fans on MAX etc? in the bios because apparently my cpu fan is running at 800rpm

Those are very good at load. If you enable cpu and chassis fan control in bios, this should allow all your fans to speed up/down according to temps. There may also be software included with your board as well that allows you to fine tune the fan speeds in windows. Not sure what gigabytes software is though, but im sure theyll have something similair to asus ai suite that my board uses.

today finished my friend pc 3570k oc 4.4 1.32V

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

it never exceeded 55

h60 is much better

They should go better once my replacement screws from corsair arrive , at the min i only have 2 of the 4 screws in so there isnt as much contact with the pcu

Id be quite pleased with temps like that on a hot running chip such as a 3570k. Iirc, at stock speed under a massive dual tower alpenfohn k2 cooler, (dual fans). Mine was loading in the high 50's. In a case with exceptionally poor airflow.

Core 3 has a somewhat dodgy sensor though.

Give it 10 at least I find IBT more useful to stress CPUs than Prime

It'll only run at the speeds assigned to various degrees of temp.

doesnt matter what your mates is unless his ambiest temp of his house is same

some are hotter or cooler

those temps are fine

i use ibt do ten runs minimum on mine twenty when i have it rock stable just to check

i have a fan controller in my pc, it does well to keep the temperature at the right levels and also keeping the noise down
