I5 3570k voltage question

What kind of voltages should I be getting at 4.4ghz?

I've been following guides etc I've found to try and use the offset voltage, but it seems to be really high (1.288 at 4.4ghz) which seems odd.

I tried using fixed voltage and lowering it and nothing, doesn't want to boot, keeps crashing.

Bit of a noob as you can tell but any help or link would be appreciated.

Try using fixed voltage untill ya find the lowest ya can stay stable, then switch to offset to give ya about hte same voltage, which for me is +0.06 i think, then just add more until its stable again, i need quite a lot more volts to get mine stable using offset you might find the same.

Awesome thanks guys. Will try fixed voltage and lowering it from 1.28 until it's unstable.

Need to run prime for a while and actually see under load temps. I was just confused at it not even getting into windows when I see people all over google claiming 1.22 etc for higher clocks.

Cheers :)

Ok I now have offset at +0.0010 (up from .005 and I lowered LLC to Level 5. So at load it's 1.27 so bit of an improvement.

Is the only way to lower it more to drop the offset back to +0.005?

Bah. Was just typing that I lowered the offset and it was 4.4ghz at 1.264 which is better... and then it crashed.

Finding it so hard to properly understand LLC/vdroop and offset voltage.

I think I understand the basics of fixed voltage but offset is rattling my brain. 4.4ghz at 1.288 was working fine (playing crysis 3 for hours and running prime for quite a while, no crashes) but I want to understand what I'm doing a bit better lol

I use a high setting of LLC i think its even on extreme, keep the volts stable, if ya getting random crashes it might be to low volts, could be mem timings/voltage or one of many things, i would have a quick read through a guide, google 3570k asrock z77 overclocking guide im sure there will be one, i found loads of gigabyte boards.
