Hey installed a ranjintek thermis today on my i5 with a maximus v gene mobo. I have a found a guide made by rog specifically for that combination to over clock. But I'm still a bit lost on what to do I have never over clocked a cpu before and I'm worried I'm going to damage it. Any help on this would be great :)

Apart from he has Ivybridge which is completely different.

Whats your voltage showing at stock when running a benchmark? What RAM do you have and what speed is it currently?

what did you wanna clock to?

for 4.5ghz you can try

manual cpu/pci clock to 100
cpu multiplier to 45x
cpu voltage to offset then in offset enter +0.050v (important to leave first two digits as 0) (might be able to use less offset later +0.040v and so on)
loadline calibration set to high
vccio or vccsa (whichever one is at stock 1.05v) set that to around 1.15v (might need more)

try that and when in windows stress cpu with prime95 and download cpu-z and look to see what the cpu voltage is while stressing and post back what it is

try to stay around 1.35v at load for cpu and under or mid 80c cpu temps when stressing
