I currently have my i5 @ 4.3 GHz and 1.22V. I was just wondering of you guys think this is ok? My pc seams to be running fine but this is the first time i have really overclocked.

What sort of over clock would i be able to get with a Raijintek EreBoss High Performance CPU Cooler?

Your chip looks similar to mine in the voltage required and I understand the cooler is equal or better than mine so no reason not to have a go at 4.6 like I've got.

It is in my sig. I went in at 1.275 for 4.5, upped it to 4.6 and then reduced the voltage gradually until it lost stability. For your overclock don't go over 1.3 volts and keep temps under 85

You 'should' be able to use less than 1.22vlts for 4.3Ghz TBH, I run my 4690K @ 4.6Ghz with 1.20vlts.

This 4.6 @ 1.2 V is a good place to start. ive overclocked a fair few of these for friends getting into pc gaming and all have instantly sat stable at 1.2 4.6

Are you sure they are stable? Proper stress test?

I have a decent chip that's 4.6 stable @ 1.285, but 1.2 seems wayyy too low. Unless all of your friends won the silicon lottery, I call bull lol

4.6 at 1.2 is pretty good if stable, from what ive seen of the i5's. They do seem to clock a bit better than the i7's, majority of the i7's ive seen are using 1.2 ono at stock. Best way to stress is with real bench, much more realistic for temps. Cpu input voltage is pretty important on hw too, this should be 0.5v higher than vcore, ie in my case 1.300 vcore = 1.800 input voltage.

Prime 95 isnt a great way to stress haswells, particularly the latest version 28.5. At stock speed you can get near the throttle limit with temps if running small fft.

IBT for 20 max passes is probably more than enough.

Can't see 24hrs of AIDA proving much against say 2 hrs.

Eh IBT is good for stability testing

But the temperatures are Beyond insane if you pushing a high OC.On air i wouldn't recommend IBT when going over a voltage of 1.25v maximium

The 4690k's really do seem to clock a lot better than the 4670k thats for sure.Everyones 4690's seem to be able to do 4.6 in the 1.2-1.3 range, bit jelly.Takes 1.26 to get 4.4 on my 4670 :p

I did just switch to a custom loop from a 212 so i should push mine further lol
