Any clue has to why the i5 4690k has had a £15(ish) price increase. It was £169.99 yesterday and today it's £185. Anyone have a clue as to why? I Was going to buy one yesterday but didn't get around to it so I'm quite dissapointed.

Yea I should have mentioned it was the one with 3 year warranty that was £169.99 and has increased. The one posted above was cheaper than it is now too

:D It is all Scotlands fault. :D

Weakness of sterling when Gibbo went to buy the latest batch no doubt. It will probably even out with time.

Makes the cashback deal for the cpu and motherboard somewhat less attractive now. I had the items in my basket ready to order but then the Asus 970 was delayed and now this. Think I'll just leave upgrading till after christmas and see what prices are like then.

You and me both. Items were in the basket but didn't get around to ordering. The next day was really disappointing.:(

I'm tempted to just go for the OEM chip now, so at least i'm paying the same amount as I would have been paying before. Just not sure whether an OEM chip would be eligible for cashback from: https://toptechcashback.com/uk/en/cashback. I have scanned the T&C and can't see anything so have emailed them.

Checked prices at a few other places and they're cheaper there, but it ends up costing a bit more once you factor in the free delivery.

Yea I was thinking about OEM too. £185 i5 has gone down £5 last time I checked.
