Hi all
I have a Q6600-based system running DDR3 (Gigabyte dual-RAM board).
I wanted to upgrade the motherboard and CPU, re-using the RAM from my C2Q system to save cash, but would my current RAM (Corsair XMS3 1333Mhz) be suitable for running this, let alone overclocking it?
My thinking was that I could save some upgrade money by using the same RAM, but if I need to buy new RAM, might I as well buy DDR4 and go Skylake?
The PC will be used for all sorts with the occasional bout of moderate gaming.
Many thanks.
