i bought a bundle from ocuk with an i5 6400 overclocked @ 4.4ghz, however im not sure the overclock is actually working, a couple of times on boot in the last year it has said failed to load overclock and when i use CPUid the live feed is sitting at around 2760-2780mhz. (even when i dont get the failed overclock message) there is a profile saved on the bios but im not sure if its the overclockers one, its called i56646 or something like that and if i load it,, it only tried to change a couple of settings from on to off.

is there something im missing?

its an asus z170-e MB

If it was bought as an overclocked bundle, then the saved profile will be the overclocked profile, if it crashed it may revert to standard settings so you'll have to reload the profile in bios, then save and exit.

Might not be many settings changed, probably just cpu speed, vcore an XMP.

Are you sure it's a 6400 and not a k chip?

not sure, how would i know if its a k, it just says i5 6400 skylake on the info panel, and was bought as 8Pack Approved - Intel Core i5 6400 @ 4.4GHz Overclocked Quad Core Gaming Bundle
