So I built my current system back in August 2016 and I am wondering whether it would be worth upgrading now to something new with titles on the horizon that I want to be able to play like Cyberpunk and Assassins Creed Valhalla. My current system is:

I have no idea whether my system as it is will be good enough for the two titles listed; would you more learned people have any idea? I have been looking at some recent thread in the CPU section and see that others are asking similar questions to me, and it seems to be the general consensus that it would probably be wise to wait until later in the year when AMD and Intel release their new line ups. However my budget is around £300 - £400 and will unlikely change between now, so unless there is a new £200 CPU hitting the market, I am wondering whether it will be just a good taking the plunge now or to wait.
I have had a look at an O/C on my current processor using the Intel XTU and through that found out that I pretty cannot O/C this chip, which I had suspected. I have also looked on eBay thinking could replace the CPU with a 2nd hand and have been shocked at the prices; it seems that you will still pay around £300 for a i7 7700K and around £150-£200 for an core i5 7600k. I thought that as these are 3 year old CPUs that they would be much cheaper. However is it considered that this would be a decent use of money and a worthwhile upgrade from my current system?
If it is worthwhile to get new kit, as mentioned, I think my budget will be around £300-£400. I have been out of the computer components game pretty much since I built my current system in 2016 upgrade and so I am largely unaware of what the current situation is in regards to any potential performance gain I will see for any upgrade. What could I get for my budget and would it be worthwhile doing anything now that will give me meaningful gains and ensure that I can play the titles above?
