i5 6600 HIGH CPU USAGE?!

Hi guys, recently i've been having problems running games due to high cpu usgae. I play H1Z1 and it uses 70% of my cpu but combined all together it hits 100% and crashes my game. ive tried this with every other game and my cpu just goes crazy.

I have tried both balanced and performance power settings

I have tried limiting the power usage of the cpu

I have tried playing with the graphics settings of the game

my cpu passed all tests on the diagnostic tool.

Maxing out shouldn't cause it to crash. What sort of temps are you getting?

Then your CPU is definitely not being stressed.

What resolution are you playing at? A lower res will put more strain on the CPU.

i was playing at 1080p, tried it at 4k but not getting enough frames to play smoothly.

And what do you mean by crash?

Have you tried setting everything to default in your bios.

Are you sure? That looks more like an idle temp reading, Its way to low for a stressed CPU.

What program are you using to messure CPU temp? Can you post a screenshot of temp reading whilst gaming?

100% cpu will be a symptom not the cause... something is crashing for some reason!

Restart your comp, press delete once per second, should put you into your bios, why do you wish to access it though, and be careful what you do in there. Are you comp savvy enough to open up your case and mess with the insides (unplug the D: drive) and format C: and install windows again?
