Hello,

Looking for some advice for OC a i5 6600k.
It was OC from the shop at 4.4Ghz, however, the computer kept BSOD after 6 months and after i sent it back, they said the CPU had failed and it was replaced.

As an OC novice i am very concerned the shop OC settings are too high and causing the CPU to fail. They said they have returned the new CPU to their standard OC settings as before.

As i am a noob with OC i took some info from my BIOS.
CPU Ratio 43. That means CPU is at 4.30Ghz? According to the OC guide on here, if the BCLK is 100.00, thats right.

CPU Core Voltage 1.336V 1.325V, the left side is just text, the 1.325 can be edited by the user. The rest of the settings on the voltage page are set to Auto.
Does that mean the voltage is turned down from the default 1.336V?

The motherboard is Z170A Gaming Pro.

Thank you.

Mine runs at 4.4 with 1.29v with no problems. The lower the voltage you can use the less heat you will produce. A good cooler always helps too :P
