I've been reading through the i5 thread and it's all a bit alien to me.

I'm fitting my old Zalman CNPS9700 LED now I have the 1156 adapter (is this cooler still ok?), so I'm hoping it's better.

But what is the best way for someone like me to start overclocking safely?

I've got a GA-P55-UD4 with Patriot Viper Sector 5 if this helps?

I've read some people putting to many volts through them etc?

Could someone advise please, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
DJ

PS - I know I ask a lot of questions but I try to play things safe lol.
