hey, just checking up on the LGA 1156 socket on wikipedia which supports the i5 750 CPU. where it says what quad-core processors it supports, it clearly shows the i5 without HT. Is HT, hyper-threading, and if it is, what clearly is it, and is it needed, as it also shows the i7 with HT?

It is only supported by few applications, and creates 4 new virtual cores, less powerful than the four real cores, but adds up to 8 cores shown on the task Windows Task Manager Performance. You really could have looked that up.

kk ty, yer i guess i could have looked it up, but sorry i've been dealing with my old computer and didnt think to look it up, thanks for the help.

Don't use wikipedia as your only source of knowledge......please.

Bullet points or numbering is helpful when presenting multiple questions. Until your questions are in either of the aforementioned format then I refuse to answer. Bah.

As far as a lot of people are concerned it shouldn't be too big a deal anyway. It will still run well in games and for me especially that's all that matters.
