I have a new rig with an i5 750 running at 4ghz under an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 in an Antec 902 case. After a couple of hours of BFBC2 I checked the temps with core temp, it showed a peak of mid 60's and after a few minutes it settled around the mid 40's. Is this Ok for this chip? Case fans are all set to medium.

Out of curiousity...what thermal compound you uses for the cooler? MX-3, AS 5 or the MX-2 that pre-applied with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2?

Bought the rig as a complete system so asume the standard paste was used. Stonking performance gain from this chip over the amd 939 4000+ it replaced, very impressed.
Thanks for the reassurance on the temps, the old 4000+ never went much over 55deg when flat out so had niggling concerns.
