so i wanna overclock my 750 with my gigabyte p55 ud5 and corsair xms3 1600

first i did, on stock voltage to 3.3ghz, memory at 1333

i took auto voltage off and just set all voltages to as they were on stock

vcore 1.187
vtt 1.1
pch 1.050
ram 1.5

everything was win, prime ran nothing went wrong. then i did some messing to try get higher but prime failed so i put it back, now even though all settings are same now my prime stops working.

FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.

there my prime results, wots wrong?

edit:

so ive put everything on auto, but is still have all the power saving stuff etc off but everything at stock i still get prime95 error??

my temperatures at stock dont go above 45 so it isnt a temperature problem

It's not stable.

Either all settings aren't as they were when you say it was stable, or it wasn't 100% stable then either.

Reset BIOS to default settings and try again.

so ive reset evvvverything, but i turned off turbo boost n thermal something etc and still the same

so i have put my voltages up for everything, 21x multiplier, 166 bclk, 3.5ghz, ram in bios @ 1333mhz,

vcore 1.25
vtt 1.2
pch 1.100
vram 1.64

when i do processor tests on prime95, its fine, no errors. asoon as i test RAM i get errors. its set to 1333mhz in bios, but in post it says 1328.

9-9-9-24 timings, i upped the vram aswell to make sure it was getting enough juice, so its just my memory, its rated at 1600 and im running it at 1333 (or 1328 as it says in post) i would lke to make it run at 1600, but im getting errors within first min of prime95 so whats wrong?

Hi, make sure your memory is at max volt's, i:e - l need my memory at max volt's 1.66v to run at 4.2GHz, where as 4.0 l just need 1.64v.

is that what causes errors? not getting enough volts? it used to run fine no errors at all, and randomly it has changed.

also does anyone know what would cause my ram to go at 1328 wen its set at 1333 in bios?

Hi,

I've got the same CPU and motherboard as you, RAM is OCZ but same speed as yours. My settings for 4GHZ are all here if you want to try any of them ;) Running the F9 bios btw.

I had to put LLC to level 2 as the vdroop was horrible but it nevers raises avove 1.31 so I'm happy. Also make sure you've disabled all the speedstep stuff as if using LLC I have read it can cause voltage spikes.

cheers

right i tried alll the settings and in though voltages my temperatures get too high as ive got the fan on low rpm to be silent.

i just want to get my memory stable. when i put it on 1333mhz myself it always reads 1328 in post, and in prime95 my memory tests fail, cpu tests always fine. when i everything to stock my memory reads 1333 in bios and post, but i still get prime95 errors, with everything on stock.

my memory is rated at 1600mhz and it wont pass prime95 =/ and my voltage is 1.64 which it shouldnt need to be =/
