hey guys just overclock my i5 760 running on a gigabyte H55M-UD2H mb. do these stats look ok??.cpu clock ratio 20x,,qpi clock ratio x32, bclk frequency 185.system memory multiplier, auto.{did try lowering it to 8.0 but it wouldnt boot} voltage 1.2....its running idle temps of 38c and 70c with prime 95. are these temps ok???? friend advised that because its a new cpu that it will take a while for thermal paste to settle down...any advise would be most helpful..
i5 760.
8gb ocz 1600 ram.
500wat ocz psu.
freezer pro 7 cpu cooler.
radeon 5770 saphire oc version.
3 120mm can fans.
coolermaster elite 430 case.
Im thinking i may need a more powerful psu??? mabye the 700wat..but this 500wat has been running fine with my i3.

some advice PLEASE..

hey guys..could i please get some advice on this overclock..really worried about temps...having problems finding a cpu cooler that will fit on the mobo with all the ram slots filled!!! been looking at the H60 but its quite expensive. have fitted another fan on my freezer pro in a push-pull config and have got the temps to a stable 38c idle and max of 71c with prime 95. are these temps ok..really think i will get the H60 when i sell my i3 and other coolermaster case. thanks guys, im a real noob to overclocking just followed a utube guide for my i3 and that run stable for 6months. this i5 seems to run a bit hotter.

I have the same cpu as you m8, I'm fine tuning mine at the mo.
Those temps are fine so don't worry about it, when it hits 80'c+ then worry.
As for the psu what make is it?, if it's a good make n model then u should be fine there.
I've got my CPU running 200x20 (4ghz) @ 1.35v, temps are not a problem with me as I've got a custom watercool loop. Like I said I'm fine tunning it so I can bring the Vcore down, at the mo I've got 223x18 (4ghz) @ 1.295v.
What are all your bios setting set to at the mo?.

thanks for the reply.

hi mate..my psu is the OCZ modxstream-pro 500wat..set clock ratio x20, BCLK frequ 185, qpi clock to x32, Advanced cpu core... disabled turbo boost, cpu enhanced halt, and cpu eist funtion.voltage up from 1.1500 to 1.1750..video i watched advised me to enable load line calibration and it would adjust its own voltage but it was overvolting to much temps where up in the 80s..seems to be stable idle temps of 36, 34, 35, 32. with prime95 1st core hit max of 71c then dropped back to 68c other cores kept round 65c...;)
