Hi guys,

I purchased an Asus bundle from Overclockers in February 2011 and was perhaps unfortunate enough to get one of the last non-GUI BIOSes. After some time, my computer lost the overclock values and reset to default. In an attempt to restore them, I wrote over the save that the OCuk engineers create (To this day I am 100% sure that I did the correct steps to apply it, and not overwrite!) and have been stuck at 2.4GHz ever since. I've recently followed a quick YouTube guide to get back to 3.7 GHz but feel like there's something missing.

As I know my setup was capable of reaching 4.0 to 4.1 GHz, I would love to see that speed restored. I was advised to come on to the forum and ask someone here about it.

The exact order name was "Radon Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz @ 4.00GHz Overclocked Bundle - Asus"

With any luck, one of you have the same bundle that I brought and I can take the clock values from your setup without much testing.

However if that isn't the case, I would be grateful for a push in the right direction (or hold my hand through this!) and let me know where to start. I'm gutted enough that my PC is very out of date after only one year (and a bit).

I have posted my DxDiag report on pastebin here: http://pastebin.com/j5qdDSvK
Let me know what other system information you may need.

Thanks folks!

Josh

just disable all the power saving features (speedstep, C1E etc. )
set multi at 22, (max with turbo)
BCLK at 182, (22 X 182 = 4004MHZ OR 4.0GHZ)
vtt/vimc at 1.35v,
vcore at ~1.35v /depending on how your chips ocs use up to 1.4)
vdram/vdimm at 1.5 to 1.65v depending on your ram

run Intel burn test on high ram for 10-20 passes to test for stability or use new version of prime95 with avx

Ive got the exact same overclocked bundle, and had the same issue as you. I must have hit the silicon lottery im running at 20 x 200 @ 1.24v

1.24 volts is a low voltage these chips are fine 1.45v and below I have ran mine 1.4 volts 4ghz 200x20 for over 2 years I think most of these and i5 750 tend to need closer to 1.4 volts to hit 4ghz + properly stable
