So I have had my i5 7600k never tried to oc it, in fact last time I oc was a pentium chip years ago, is it best to do the oc manually and increase it little by little or can I just use the profile on my board and let it auto do it? Been years since I tried. Fancy doing it see how much of a difference it makes, I find the cpu super nippy at stock tbf

When overclocking not all cpu’s have the same performance levels, it is a bit of a lottery.

Preconfigured settings on motherboards play it safe going for higher voltage and so temps at lower clock speeds. For lower overclocks this is ok but better to enter you own manual settings as you get better overclock speed for less voltage and temps normally. Plenty of guides on the web, just be careful of voltage limits and temps.

yep a lot of luck on if you get a good CPU OC. go higher on voltage so it is stable enough for a stress test. like said above many guides for individual CPU's on the internet.
