Hi,

Just putting together my first build:

i5 2500k, gelid tranquillo, asus p8z68v pro, 8gb hyperx grey, 560ti, 650w coolermaster psu, case is a random 'Mesh' one that im reusing from old build.

I was just wondering which is the best orientation for the gelid tranquillo, as it can be put in 4 different orientations. I was thinking that it should probably be orientated so that the fan is aimed towards the back of the case?

Also going to be using the gelid gc-2 thermal paste that comes with it...what method do people recommend to apply this paste?

thanks

Yeah does depend on the case but generally they are designed so air goes in the front and out the back, so you want the Gelid to follow that and suck air in from the front and blow it out the back

Ok I've got it all together and its working!! yay :D!

But the cpu fan seems to be running real slow, 600rpm or less in bios. Then even when I was upping the load it still stays around 600-650rpm in speedfan. Is this right??!
