New and better cooler so that you can OC?

Do you really need the caviar black? I'd go caviar blue and save a few bob.

Also, what price do you have on the Crucial 4GB?

Thanks for the response.

as for the Caviar black I went for that because of the 6Gb SATA port compatible or will that not make much of a diffence ?

and yes forgot about a cooler

£54.99 for the Crucial 4GB

cheers

Hi

The 6Gb/s doesnt mean much on mechanical HDDs as they cant saturate the old 3Gb/s, and yes theyre backward compatible so just get a cheaper one
Also have you thought of getting the mATX version of the mobo to save another £25?
If youre going to be running a few VMs, 8 gig of RAM is prob preferable, you can pick up a decent 8 gig kit here for £80
Whilst the PSU is reasonable and very efficient it does have relatively high ripple which isnt best for long term component life span or OCing
Re gfx, for same sort of price as a 6870 (£175) you can pick up a 470, or a 5850, whilst theyre both the older generation of cards theyre both more powerful too
