I've just got my rig up and running and tried the overclocked bios at 4ghz and it fails prime within a few minutes on one core.

I'm not much use at overclocking so I'm not sure what to do now to sort it out.

The rig is
i5 bundle overclocked 4ghz http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-012-OB&groupid=43&catid=339&subcat=
Corsair 750watt psu
ATI 5850 gpu
Lancool Dragon k62 case

Temps when running prime were 65-70 ish.

Is there anything that can be done?

Thanks.

Thanks guys, I'll give them a call one way or another before I start to mess about.

The problem for me is that when I've tried overclocking in the past all I manage to do is corrupt Windows which is has happened again when running this i5 bundle aswell.

Hello F2kSel,

I would strongly suggest you have a backup of your O/S stored on another partition/disk before you overclock, most of the time you won't need it but its not that hard for a bad overclock to corrupt the contents of a system disk, this isn't permanent damage but rather the data that is stored is all gobbledigook . .

There are a number of backup products that work straight from a bootable CD-Rom which means nothing has to be actually installed in the operating system and should you naff the O/S the recovery process should be done and dusted in 10-15 mins!

Thanks I'll look into that.
