i5 OC Question

Ive never overclocked anything before so i dont really know what im doing. What would be the best choice of Ram / MB to go with an i5 for ease of overclocking and good results? Would ideally like to achieve 3.8-4ghz. Also what is the best cooler to use with this?

Check my spec in sig. It was purchased second hand off MM, and I am also a novice when it comes to overclocking however it's sitting at 4.0Ghz right now and has been for the past 6 hrs.

I would think if you got the same setup you would get 3.8Ghz easy unless you were very unlucky!

For cooler you want the Corsair H50.

Same here i don't consider myself an expert when it comes to overclocking but i got my i5 to 4ghz with relative ease, just remember don't go nuts with the votages, keep an eye on the LOAD temps, as they are the only ones that really mean anything.

And if in doubt, ask. There are many people on here only too happy to answer your questions

As for that motherboard its probably one of the best but expensive, you wont need that for "3.8-4ghz".

Quick question for you guys...my g/f got me a TM G17 and i would like to know if it can use green gas. ive looked everywhere but i cant seem to find anything. i am replacing the plastic slide with a custom aluminum one but i just want to be sure that i dont need to change any internals. thanks guys
