Just built new system.

2500k
akasa venom
8gb ram

New to OCing

OCed 2500k to 4ghz
running prime95 i am hitting 63c

i want to OC to 4.5ghz, will i need to raise voltage?

what would you expect my temps to be ?

i think you will probably need to up the voltage but you can always try without and see how stable it is. Im at 4.2ghz on the i5 at the moment which required a small voltage boost

mine is sitting at (45*100) 4.5Ghz cpu voltage sitting at 1.37v sitting roughly at 56degrees thts using a stock cooler going to move it onto the water cooling kit over the next few days see what it lowers it to :)

I have an MSI P67a-c45 motherboard and I upped my Multi to 43 and my Vcore to 1.250.

Just completed 7hours of Prime with a top temp of 66c

Yours will probably do the same :)

Im gonna aim for 4.5ghz over the coming week I think

Bit of a puzzler for me.

I decided to try 4.5ghz. Ive been prime stable at 4.3ghz at 1.220.

I went straight for 45x multiplier and ramped my voltage up a bit. first closer to 1.3v.. then after windows wouldnt load.. increments up to 1.4v

Nothing.. I cant get it passed the blinking cursor prior to Windows loading. So now Im back to 4.3. Its weird how it simply wont entertain the idea.
