Hey, basically looking at one of these two, I'll be rendering on vray, photoshoping large pictures at printable resolutions, autocad, possibley other render programs, sketch up, some gaming but not overly fussed by this and then watching films, music, and interneting. Just to give an idea.

I have looked at benchmarks and know x6 is better for rendering generally but just wanted some opinions on here since I trust you guys more.

Rest of build will hopefully be matx, with my 4670 graphics card for now, 4gb of ram and maybe two f3s in raid 1 but that's just a thought. Was thinking 500w psu, maybe 600.
Looking at using the antec mini 180, v351 or lanbox lite but having a hard time choosing. If not matx I think I'd get an antec 300.

Not getting i7 because of motherboard prices and I would like a smaller system .

Last note: looking at x6 oc bundle with mobo and ram for £411

any reply welcome, cheers all xx

Thanks, any ideas onwhat to do about psu and case? Been a big decision between space and heat.. Would like a cube case but don't see it cooling much

OCZ StealthXStream 2 500W if you want to upgrade the graphics card in the future, Corsair CX 400W otherwise. Antec Basiq Plus 550W will do well too.

I would have a hunt round and see if you could pick up a cheap i7 920, I know the mobo and ram will be alittle more. But 8 juicy threads for rendering..

Thanks mr krugga, the ocz sounds great.
Budget is anything for the case, but lower is better. I do like clean looking cases but if something is small and cool thats more important.
I know an i7 would be much better but I'm looking at £50 more for motherboard ..
It's so hard to keep cost down when there's something better for only a little more
