i5 or A8?

I am still looking at portability. Is there any difference between an i5 and an a8 for general use at stock settings?

The i5 will run cooler and faster than an AMD A8 processor. Portable laptops will generally use i5 ULV CPU's, which are basically the same as the normal mobile i5's, but clocked lower and with lower voltages.

I'd go with the A8 if you want to game, otherwise the i5
