I think that I've settled on an i5, but the question is whether I wait and see how the Haswells fare in the benchmarks a few weeks/months from now or just take the plunge now.
Specs on the Haswell chips seems a bit scarce at the moment, so I guess it's hard to determine if they will deliver a decent performance benefit over the ivybridge architecture, but I see that they are still on 22nm. My inclination is to get the 3570k now as it will meet my gaming needs for a while to come and if the Haswells prove to be a big step up, get one at a later date.
All comments welcome.
