Right, so after a very tedious morning of repeated failed post's a BIOS update has solved that dilemma. Now, I'm currently aiming for 4.1ghz. Tried running both IBT and p95 but after a while, both programs just stop working.

I take it this is a sign of an unstable clock, but was wondering if it lends itself more to unstable memory/core, or if it could be anything?

Current settings are:-

bclk 205
multi x20
vcore 1.32v bios, cpu-z reads 1.365v load
vram 1.66v
vtt 1.25v
pll 1.82v

Any and all advice would be great!

OH! for the time they work, IBT is maxxing out at 73 degrees and p95 at 70 degrees

p95 has more than one setting, try memtest from a cd at boot to test the memory and intel burn test for the cpu, as you have it, failing ibt normaly means cpu unstable.
If you have the volts at auto your asking for issues overcocking set them manualy and try again
"vcore 1.32v bios, cpu-z reads 1.365v load"

Of course it could also be an underpowered psu!
