HI all
I'm new here but been lurking since last month. I finally finished building my new PC and been doing some overclocking. I managed to overclock my i5 2500K to 4.4Ghz. I've read and based my OC from Gibbo's Voltages and OC guide.

I have one question though, while running Prime95, the "Power" reported by Coretemp seems to spike to more than 100-120 watts. I also notice this when running Intel burn test, but my core temperatures are stable between 55 to 65 degrees celcius. Question is, will the 100-120 watts power damage the CPU as it is rated 95Watts only?

Thank you

It won't damage the CPU. 95W is for running at stock, increasing the clockspeed and especially the voltage will increase the power usage.
