i5 Spec for £600 - is it realistic?

Is it possible to spec me an i5 system for about £600 including Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit?

My existing monitor/keyboard/mouse are fine. I also have a 4850 which I wouldn't mind Crossfire (or is it SLI?) if that would keep me under the budget.

I'm looking enviously at the Titan Goliath, but £600 is the top of my budget.

(I posted this in the Graphics Card section by mistake first. Guinness-fuelled error I'm afraid)
 
I believe that the most recent issue of Custom PC magazine has an i5 spec for £542.83. The GPU is weaker than the one you currently have so you can shave a few quid off the price. I'm sorry I can't be much more use at the moment as I am currently posting from my phone

Crossfire is possible.

If your 4850 is a 512MB version then more money could be taken from there by replacing the included 1GB version.

Be wary that the lower end i5 boards only do crossfire in x16+x4, which will be slower than x8+x8 (which is the highest speeds the P55 chipset supports in crossfire)

The cheapest board OcUK stock that does x8+x8 is the MSI P55 GD65 at £128.

I'm not 100% sure what difference there is between x16+x4 & x8+x8 speeds when in crossfire, but I'd guess that a clocked 1gb 4890 would turn out just as fast, if not a little faster, because of the slower pci-x speed the 2nd crossfired 4850 would be running at.

Don't quote me on that though, just speculating. For a definative answer ask in the gfx card forum.
