So, my current I5 "stock" fan broke this morning as I was playing about with it, And a previous forum yesterday didn't convey many replies. As in the title, My I5 750 getting flamin' hot, and needs a cooler, currently non installed. Can anyone recommend a cooler for the I5 (Socket 1156) and is able to fit in my Xigmatek Asgard? Here's the manufactures link for the sizes! http://www.xigmatek.com/product.php?productid=27&type=overview

I also want 4 NEW fans for the case, 2 side, 1 rear and 1 front. Which 120mm fans would be ideal to shift air flow from my 5850, but provide silent noise in my bedroom at midnight

Protip: Running a cpu without a fan isn't a good idea ;)

If you have a spare fan place by the heatsink to at least give that poor chip some cooling.

+1

First thing you need to do is order a new cooler and pray you don't damage anything in the mean time. While modern cpu's have ways of avoiding overheating you are at significant risk of damaging it and your motherboard.

I predict that in approximately 10 minutes there will be a new thread called: RAN PC WiTHOUT FAN NAO PC DONT WORK HALP PLZZZ!!111!

and it'll look something like this...

HALP ME PLZZ i broke my fan and NO one at ocuk would find me a new one they r well crap!! my pc wont turn on now and i wanted to play games while my girlfriend was in bed!!!

Seriously though if you were only running a stock cooler any other one should do :) If you're on a budget the Freezer 7 Pro is a good bet as I have one on my Q6600 and it works a treat :)
