I built my PC about 2 1/2 years ago and it has run perfectly without as much as a crash in that time. I moved the PC from one room to another the other day and suddenly, it has started overheating and shutting down with a CPU temp over temperature error. I cool with a Coolermaster AIO watercooler kit, which has worked fine since new, and it seems to be working, like, i think I can feel the liquid running through the pipes anyway, and one side is warm and the other is cool.

I've tried re-applying the thermal paste three times now and it's changed nothing, the CPU is sitting at 89 degrees at idle according to Armoury crate and hardware monitor with fans on full speed. Before I think about replacing the AIO, is there anything else I should be checking?

Thanks

Most obvious problem here is the pump is not running or maybe running too slow. I doubt you would feel the liquid flowing though you may hear some bubble moving at start up. Especially after moving a system unit.

Check to see if the pump has a RPM output to the BIOS via a motherboard header. Could be just a simple RPM signal via a single wire.

on the same lines as bimbleuk. Do you have aio cpu header or headers plugged in to the correct port on the motherboard. I would expect your fans to be going mental fast.

Glad you got it sorted, one time I put a computer together and gone to power it on and it would not boot... I took everything out of the case and put it back together two times before I realised that I didnt plug the CPU power cables in... It even had a debug LED on it.
