i7 1366 oc help.

Hi guys I'm after some help.

I totally missed his generation so I have little idea on what to change to overclock the cpu!


I've just been getting hold of a nice bundle and I'm wanting to stretch its legs a little.

The setup is

i7 960
Asus Rampage 2 Extreme
6gb Corsair Dominator 2000mhz variety.

Any help to get to around 4ghz would be greatly appreciated.

whats the max multi of that chip?

could try 21x191 disable intel turbo boost
then 10x mem multi = 1910mhz ram speed
uncore freq 21x

qpi/dram 1.315v

cpu v id aim for 1.3v-1.35v or offset of maybe +0.0500v

can also try different cpu mulit/bclk combos

I'm looking at it now mate. Max cpu ratio of 25 min of 12

ok you could do 25x160=4ghz

and 12x mem multi =1920mhz(that's if you have a 12x mem multi on that board) I know my ud5 did
uncore would be 25x
