i7 2011-3 price drop

Looking at prices for both haswell-e and broadwell-e CPU's i have noticed that there has been some fairly big price drops very recently 10-15% (not enough to be cheaper than there were previously in the case of haswell-e).

Could this be Zen related?

Don't think there's been any price drops.
Maybe just addressing the extra inflated price perhaps.

I'd certainly expect drops if Zen's good though.

I've been eying up 5820k / 6800k chips and i haven't noticed much change.

Just going by Ocuk lot of prices showing 10-13% down on recent prices. Would expect this for Black Friday maybe or new year but seems a little strange now?

Been following quite closely as I quite fancy getting a 5320k, I havnt noticed a price drop, though I am hoping for one during the Boxing Day/New Years sales

Intel has enough market share to ignore AMD price wise for the short term

Any price fluctuation on CPU's over recent weeks is more to do with the ever changing exchange rate than actual drops by Intel.
