Got my i7 2600k a few weeks back and was interested to see what PPD increases there were to be gained from overclocking and to maybe share that data with other people here so that you can see what sort of PPD you can expect from various clock speeds. I've only gone up as far as 4.5Ghz so far but I'm on air and therefore trying to keep the temps under control.
I also wanted to see what the effect of running two smp clients with 4 cores each was so i've included that as well. Obvisouly, the projects themselves all differ in terms of PPD but the following are my findings so far.
For bigadv it appears there is a ~1k PPD increase per Ghz overclock from 30k PPD base at stock speeds.
