how do you know it is clocked at 4.7? have you given it enough voltage to reach 4.7? can your psu give it enough to reach 4.7? are you on the latest bios version? what board have you got?

i bought it preclocked and it even says in the bios its 4.7 but when my computer turns on its just 3.4, and even when it reaches high load it stays at 3.4.

Motherboard: Asus p8 p67 pro - b3 revision

Coming up as 4.7 in cpu-z but core temp still saying 3.4, maybe its just a bug with core temp not displaying this cpu correctly because it displays my i7 920 machine with its correct speed.

Core temp does not dynamically display the CPU speed. Same thing here. CPU-Z and AITool both show 4.x for me, but core temp only 3.5 on my 2600K

This, my 2500K, although being clocked at 4Ghz only shows 3.3Ghz in bootup and in coretemp and stuff. It only jumps to 4Ghz when under load.
