Hi all,
Been reading around about memory voltage affecting the max stable oc, and just wanted to take some advice.
Originally running 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3 1600 which was 1.65v rated. Could get semi-stable upto 4.8GHz, but very occasional BSOD. Dropped the speed to 1333 and 1.5v and the (rare) hangs seemed to stop.
Now I've changed to 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1600 which runs at 1.25v (GSkill Sniper) - been running at 4.5GHz with a lower voltage on the CPU and it's been 100% stable.
So my question is, how big an affect can the memory voltage have on the IMC? Is it worth me trying to ramp back up to 4.8GHz, and maybe even 5?
(Cooling originally on a Titan Fenrir, but now moved onto a H70 w/dual Apaches)
