Hi guys i'm new here n i have Oc my i7 2600k before to 4.4Ghz but kept getting BSOD while watching HD or BluRay Movie Files, past Prime95 & Intel Burn Test V2

I have the Asus P8p67 Evo Motherboard, I had most my bios setting right but some setting confuse me, i have no idea what they are & do n i left them @ Auto n i think they Caused the BSPOD

The Settings Are

VRM Frequency i left Auto
VCCSA i left Auto
VCCIO i felt Auto
PLL i left Auto
PCH i also left Auto

Do i need to set any of them Manually & if so that Voltages are best & safe

Many thnx in Advance

Thanks that really helped, put them all @ there stock voltages n got 1 bsod 0x0000001e n then i just turned up the VCCIO a little notch & all seems ok now..

Just been strange how on Stress Tests it was fine, but when playing Blu Ray Movie Files Mvk Mp4 it would get the BSOD

So its 4.4Ghz now n looking stable, thinking of going to 4.6Ghz i currently using 1.3v will 1.2v work for 4.6Ghz

Hard to say, you might even be able to get up to 4.6GHz and be stable with 1.3V. There's only one way to find out though ;)

Just keep bumping vcore until you are 30mins Prime Blend stable. Keep going until you reach 1.38vcore. I would careful going higher than this unless you are on high end cooling.

Also never ever go over the recommended voltage for your CPU.

Also never ever go over the recommended voltage for your CPU.

It does depend on your cooling Jordan. I use offset voltage at 1.42 but my chip runs at 1.1 most of the time. At load it sits in the low 60's as I'm on high end water.

But it is always better to be safe than sorry. Don't want to end up frying your CPU because you wanted to be greedy. Increasing the voltage will also reduce the processors life span as well don't forget.

Often the degree to which people are safe are defined by those that are sorry. I.e., we don't know what the limits of these chips are until people push the boundaries. From my research and experience, I have yet to see any degradation at the volts and most importantly temps that I am running at.

My cooler is the Antec H20 620, @ 4.4Ghz idle is 30c to 36c n full load 64c to 70c but no Program or Game will ever make ya Cpu go 100% load, in gaming my processor will touch 45 to 50c max

i ran my Oc on Prime95 blend for 30mins played games for an hour or 2 & watched 2 blu ray files n my Oc @ moment seems very stable using 1.3v
