i7-2600k upgrade

Hi guys.

I notice that the i7-4770k is on offer this week. I thought about getting one with a new motherboard to replace what I have. Is this a good idea, or should I wait?

I'm not particularly fond of my Asus P8P67 board that I have currently.

If you have clocked your 2600k to around 4.4GHz and over there is no real point as there are no large improvements in performance to be had by this upgrade.

But hey if you have the itch then by all means scratch it.

no point imo,i have [email protected] cant tell any diff from that to my 3770k @4.8ghz

be better off picking up a cheapish z68/77 board instead
