ok ill run through a few bits to start with

currently running 4.3ghz at stock core temp shows a vid of 1.1909 cpuz is showing 1.256v
llc is on regular which on my board is 0%
pll is on 1.7 but not tried lower as yet it my get better

Does this seem right or a bit high? Also ibt tops out about 82c is this safe?

Im running air cooled at the moment a havik140 with as5 still lidded core

Does this seem safe? am i doing right or wrong?
 
ive had a bit more of a tweak and applied neg offset of .005 done 2 sets of ibt 10 standard running at 1.120 temps never got above 71c seems like ive got a good chip. Next step from here?

As an aside have to say im impressed wasnt expecting a response till tommorow
 
tried bumping up to 4.4 with these settings which didnt work got a irq not less that equal to bsod guessing that means id need more voltage to get further. thinking i might leave it as it 4.3ghz at 1.12 vcore is a pretty good pump especially with normal temps less than 70c prime tops out at 65 on the highest core
 
Hi 8 pack bit of a TFTD however ive now drowned my system im currently running at 4.4 offset of +100 giving me between 1.18 and 1.19vcore ibt tops out the hottest core at around 68c with this prime around 65c although they are blips with prime it tends to be around the 60/62c area. Ive also had to bump llc up to medium (25%) to get this stable ibe guessing this is normal though

Firstly with 2 overclocked gtx670s dumping heat into the system (1215 boost core 1600 memory) do these temps seem ok to you? The gtxs themselves never go above 50c so the system seems to be working ok but the fans im using arnt the best for rads however the temp probs ive got stuck into the opposite side of the rads never go above 35c so im assuming they are coping ok. Im expecting a bit more heat as you said im using all lanes back to the cpu but i was expecting more than 7/8c drop by going to water over air

With these temps in mind is it safe to push higher? As we all know summer hasnt hit yet with that hopefully coming soon should i push further or should i leave the system to fully bleed out for a few months before going any higher?

If I was to go higher to say 4.5 or 4.6 in your experience in the voltage bump and higher temps worth the pay off? as it is going from 4.3 to 4.4 has involved a half volt bump from about 1.03 at what point do diminishing returns kick in? Or has that thought never crossed your mind?

I didnt de-lid no lid still firmly on I was hoping to not have to go down that route took me a few months just to pluck up the courage to watercool I know i can get an extra 10-15 degrees off if i do I just havnt got the stones lol the gtxs are ice and cool and ive remounted and fully screwed down the cpu block with no temp change

i was running at speed 5 to start with but ive dropped it down to 3 and that actually bought the temps down a degree or 2. There is a chance its still bleeding it was only put in on saturday and the as5 still wont have cured fully so there might still be a few c here or there but all the gurgling has stopped now

The xspc d5 res combo includes a decent aftermarket pump top theres plenty of flow in the system
The fans are a bit of a worry as they are 140s which tend to not have the static pressure but i can feel them running on the other side of the rads so they are blowing through. Also if the fans were an issue wouldnt the gtxs be running hot too?
 
Ive added 2 extra fans one on the intake 280 rad one on the roof 420 rad and it made no difference to the temps. That would indicate that its not a fan loop or rad issue wouldnt it and that either its my mount cpu block or just my cpu is a warm one. Or maybe these are the correct temps no a normal lidded 4.4 1.2v clocked 3770k
