Hey, i recently purchased an overclocked bundle from OCUK and i had a few issues at the start with the overclock. After a few hours of help from Evoaddict i managed to get the system up and running (Stable). Im still not quite convinced that these are the optimal settings though, any other opinions on this?

CPU Ratio - Manual
CPU Clock - 44
Spread Spectrum - Disabled
Intel Turbo Boost Technology - Enabled
Internal PLL Overvoltage - Enabled
DRAM Frequency - 1866mhz
DRAM Configuration - 11-11-11-28-2
CPU Voltage - Manual
Cpu Voltage - Fixed
Cpu Voltage - 1.3200v
CPU loadline Calibration - Level 2
DRAM Voltage - 1.500v

That was the original CPU Voltage but i lowered it to 1.2250v without changing any other settings (Screenshot of temps etc below)

Is the system permanently running at 4.4ghz???
Would you not perfer your system to run at bare minimum then turboboost to 4.4 ?
With turboboost it'll only use full 4.4ghz if the system requires it.

Yeah sorry i edited my post, turbo boost is enabled

Just got back, after googleing for a while i noticed a few people are doing a 4.4 OC on 1.15v. Is this worth trying for or should i just stay at the v im at since we are going to go for a higher OC

Dont change the settings at all!!!!

Try 45 multi see what happens. Only add voltage if its needed.

The RAM needs work too for me but get the CPU to its max stable vs voltage vs heat clocks first and then we can work on the RAM.

Been running prime95 at 4.5ghz for 10minutes, top temp 63c and seems stable so far (i know 10minutes is nothing but just thought id inform you)

30 mins is enough prime. Then just use your computer as normal, thats the best way of stability testing.

Ok, anything else i should do? higher multi? Or lower CPU V (im unsure where to go next)

Coming to 30minutes and max temp 66c

After playing League of Legends for 20minutes, ive gone back to 4.4 atm

Not sure on that BSOD code mate.

Ok np, ill do abit more research on it. It only ever happened to me when i went to 4.5ghz and since ive gone back to 4.4ghz its not happened again, so surely it was something to do with the OC at 4.5ghz

Appreciate the help anyway.

(On another note would lowering the CPU Voltage below 1.2250v reduce temps anymore? Or would cause the system to become unstable that low)

Yes it was probably the overclock that caused BSOD if this is the only variable you changed.

Try dialing down the voltage for 4.4ghz. any drop in voltage does result in lower temps with Ivy CPU.

Ok, is going straight for 1.1150v to much? Sorry for the repeated questions

These are my old OC settings but now i have a different i7 3770k and also 16gb of ram instead of 8gb, i was previously running

8GB
10-10-10-32-2 - 1.500v (1866Mhz)

Now i have

16GB
11-11-11-36 - 1.650v (2133Mhz)

So im basicly wondering if i will get a stable overclock of 4.4Ghz with this memory?

Atm i managed 4.4ghz at 1.140v with 1600mhz (11-11-11-28), its a large difference from my last CPU which is nice since that ran at 1.250v. Just need to work on the memory

**To say the voltage is a lot lower the temps are the same as my old CPU**

(This was after playing Arma 2 for a hour or two)

Yeah I was wondering if something was wrong with my application of the cooler because sometimes core 0 is 10c cooler than the other three cores.
