I must admit I'm not expecting it to either. That said, I would be very happy if there was a 4.5ghz 1700 at similar pricing as the current 1700. I would snap that up for the extra platform benefits and cores and would be perfectly happy. I'm just sick of not having faster USB ports, m.2 etc.
4.5GHz might be a reality you know. I am sure AMD will try to squeeze every last bit of performance from the current chip. I'd hold out, especially for the other added benefits that you mentioned.

I'm gonna wait it out for Ryzen 2 as well, on a 3770 myself.

The best performance upgrade for me is the GPU (still on 670)

With prices on RAM, may as well wait it out and look towards next Intel iteration. Hopefully cheaper RAM by that time.
