So as the title suggests my computer goes straight to the UEFI settings page every time it boots up from a powered down state. And im pretty sure its directly linked to the cheap and cheerful OC i tried to put on it. And whilst this isn't a huge problem it is annoying and i need to put off upgrading till skylake.

In the past i tried messing with the bootstrap and voltages but couldn't get a stable over clock and because of this at stock speeds my cpu was a bottleneck to my two 780ti's.

So i tried going into the settings and increasing the cpu clock ratio from 36 to 43 turned off turbo boost etc, did some stress testing for over 6 hours of Prime and had zero problems in the last week other than one system freeze. Temps never rise above 56.C even at 100% and medium fan speeds.

Specs;

Intel I7 3820 3.6Ghz
Gigabyte UD3 X79 mobo (Obviously not a strong overclocking board but was bought as a £90 short term replacement when my UP4 decided to die)
Corsair H100i clc system
2x 780ti
EVGA 800W psu

any other info needed just ask.

I have the same mb and have to say I've found it a hateful little git when OCing. My most miserable OC experience ever tbh.

Anyway, back to your problem, seems your temps are under control and your stress testing suggest a somewhat stable cpu too, its worth trying some other stress test too like IBT and asus realbench, just to make sure.

Does changing the vcore have any effect on the problem? Maybe worth trying to raise slightly. Other things to check are your ram speed, timings and dram voltage, make sure they are correct for your particular ram (may need to set manually or setting to lower speed to test). Apparently IMC voltage can sometimes need a bump up if running faster ram speeds but I have never had this issue myself. 1.2 is the absolute max advised.

Does the problem still occur if you put it back to 36? If it does then try resetting the cmos (found just next to the case led/switch connectors) Remember to make a note of your setting first though as this will wipe the settings to stock (including profiles). This maybe worth trying if all else fails anyway. Hope you get the annoyance sorted.
