I have an AW 17R2 2015 with an 980m and above CPU, 16 GB Ram 240w PSU BIOS A00 reverted from A02 when I received my 240w PSU.
I did a bit of researching and noticed that via XTU I'm able to overclock my CPU via the multiplier and gain an extra 200mhz. Having tried, I instantly had a rock solid 60fps in Pcars for 20 AI so all good there.
However this seemed to introduce a lot of BSOD messages of various types. Initially did not put two and two together but, I used Alien Respawn and until now it has not BSOD again. However post upping the multipliers to max ergo 3.7GHZ I'm getting the BSOD messages again.
One thing I have noticed is that this always seems to be if the laptop has come from a sleep state as opposed to a cold boot. Within a couple of minutes or instantly it will BSOD.
Primarily this is without the power lead being connected, so I'm wondering if it's power related.
