Hi Guys,

Made the jump to Intel :-(

On the positive my Raw to Jpeg time (im a photographer), has halved.

Anyhow i digress, Considering a very early upgrade from my 4690k (i5) to a 4770s. My question is this, can the 4770s be run at turbo speed all the time AND is it clock for clock, as good as its brothers (4770 and the "k")?

yes you can set to run at speed of 3.9 on all cores via bios.
you may have to back date your your bios. i updated bios and it removed the option to set max turn on all cores however stepping back to the bios before the microcode update reinstated the option.

it as the same cores at all 4th gen cpu's so will be a 1:1 comparison with performance

Has arrived, very pleased with it.

My 8350 @ 4.6Ghz Converted 250 files from Raw to Jpeg in 30m 30s
I5 at 4.5 = 12m20s
I7 @ 10m25s

Real world gains.

Fire strike just a smidge under 17k now.

This PC is now finished :-) (or my marriage is)
