Hi, about 6 months ago I upgraded to an i7 4790k cpu, this is installed on an Asus Maximus VII Hero, cooler is a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 2. I've recently upgraded to an EVGA GTX 980ti and an EVGA 750w G2 PSU. The case is an Antec 1100.

My problem is my cpu temp. When I first boot up it hovers around the 37c mark, but then after some simple browsing using Chrome, and youtube viewing it climbs to mid 60s and stays there. Then when I play games such as Witcher 3, Ark, Fallout 4 etc. it gets up to the late 80s and goes back to mid 60s when I've finished, even when it's at idle... I've not done any overclocking on either cpu or gpu... Is this normal? Oh yes, my gpu stays rock steady at 62c and 75c when gaming...

Thanks

Thanks guys, that's the answer I was dreading, that cooler is a ball ache to fit... I might just bit the bullet and swap it out for the Corsair H80i GT 120mm All-In-One Liquid CPU Cooler, if it'll fit inside my case...

Thanks agan
